I've been tagged

Yay! Carrieoke tagged me for this music tag. Probably b/c it was so sad that I tagged myself for the movie tag. And she even added some categories to this...

1. Total amount of music files on your computer:
I am at work and don't have any music on this computer, but I do have my ipod and it has 7.4 Gigs (1898 songs) on it.

2. The last CD you bought was:
The last CD I bought was the Decemberists Billy Liar EP on itunes.

3. What is the song you last listened to before reading this message?
Unbalanced by Bettie Servert. The ipod's on shuffle and that's what was on...

4. Write down 5 songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you.

Carrie did a few categories here...

1. Such Great Heights by the Postal Service. I love this song. I loved this whole album when it came out. I also like the Iron and Wine version. Now it reminds me of the beginning of Garden State, being on a plane on the way to New Orleans, and generally warm and fuzzy feelings.

2. Jesus Etc. By Wilco - for different reasons than Carrieoke I listen to this over and over. I think it's so meloncholy and it makes me feel good like a sad song can. Plus I find Jeff Tweedy fascinating.

3. Don't stop til you get enough - Michael Jackson. No song will put me in a better mood faster than this one. I cannot help but dance to it. It's amazing that he turned out to be so wacko.

4. Pink Bullets - the shins...The guy from the Shins, his lyrics are amazing. I love this song. I got to catch them perform it live on tv on some show on public tv (austin city limits? Something like that.) I feel like when I listen to this song I'm having a conversation with the singer.

5. Another Wilco song - I'm always in Love...because man I am. I am always in love. I walk around in the same mental state as a 14 year old. That's why I love TV shows like the Gilmore Girls, I just love that sappy love stuff. Man. Good thing I'm getting married. This sappiness can't be unleashed on the world.

I added a few catorgies too/changed Carries...
Five songs that make me swoon:
Come Around - Rhett Miller
How to Fight Lonliness - Wilco
Queen of the Underworld - Jesse Malin
For What Reason - Death Cab for Cutie
Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Five songs for shaking your ass:
Rock Your Body by Justin Timberlake
Hey Ya - Outkast
House of Jealous Lovers - The Rapture
Somebody Told me - The Killers
24 - Jem

Five Broadway Songs that I Love to Sing Really Loudly
Band of Gold - Freda Payne
Overjoyed - Stevie Wonder
Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Supremes
The Letter - Joe Cocker(???)
Midnight Train to Georgia - Gladys Knight and the Pips

5. Who are you going to pass this stick to? (3 persons) and why? Chris because he never blogs anymore, Too Many Scarves Stacey because she sees all the bands I wish I could. And Planet Dan because we have similar music tastes and he's funny.

I knew I liked you, but this proves it. The Shins and Wilco are two of my all time favorite bands. I adore the Decemberists also!

Am I supposed to post it or email it? I'm confused!

Post it! Post it!

Then tag three people and force them to post it.
