Buy yourself something pretty

So I realized today that I leave for Vegas on Wednesday. I really am not prepared for the trip. I haven't even done any internet research. The only thing I know for sure is that I want to see the Liberace museum and Quark's Bar and Restaurant. And I'm sure there's much cooler stuff to do.

Mostly I just want some old guy to make me his good luck charm at the craps table and ask me to blow on his dice (that sounds dirty) and then give me a fat wad of cash and tell me to buy myself something nice.

I had knitting meetup last night. Just a few of us girls at Panera. We had a good time. I made some progress on my basketweave scarf.

I am not feeling witty tonight. I am a little disappointed in this week's OC. I know, I know, you'd never watch it, but whatever. Usually it's really cheesey and overly dramatic, but it's all kind of making fun of itself, which is cool. But this week it's sweeps so they had a lesbian kiss, which seemed forced and cheap. There I said it. It was a cheap shot - two hot high school girls making out. At least it's not like when Roseanne kissed Muriel Hemmingway - that was plain gross.

I missed seeing you at Meetup. I started feeling sick at the last minute. I can't make the next one but I'll be back for the March Meetup. Have a great time in Vegas!!

Oh man do I miss Vegas! Randy and I used to go a few times a year when we still lived in So Cal. Good luck on your trip. Is it purely for fun?

Amy got into this "knitting" thing. It's rather entertaining watching her. Since she only just began, it takes her like 4 hours to do a few rows. So I figure I'll have myself a brandy-new scarf by 2010. Maybe by then we'll have progressed to the super-biomech scarf. She can knit a chip into it that will self clean the scarf. We can have dreams can't we? It is also amazing how she can go from 28 to 82 in a matter of seconds. You can almost see the word WOOOSH come out of her bag with how quickly she transforms from mild-mannered Amy to She-knitter, Master of the Scarfing Universe.

Well, since I have a weiner, I inherently know nothing of knitting, other than you are using those implements of death in the wrong way. So that being said, I shall take my leave.

The trip is purely for fun - I'm hoping to find that casino they go to in Nat'l Lampoon's Vegas Vacation where I can play "guess the number" and "rock, paper, scissors."

Shawn, I would worry that Amy will knit you into a cocoon next time you give her any sass. She's a doctor and a knitter - she has access to many sharp instruments.
