Gut poking

This is my mom.

mom.jpg

She's a very nice mom - even if she did poke me in the gut and tell me to "lose some of this." It was actually really funny. My mom cracks me up. I think I get my sense of humor from her. If you met her you'd probably think she's quiet and tiny and cute. And she is. But she's also funny and sarchastic. She says things like "oh Sugar" instead of "oh shit" and says "darn." Her biggest insult is calling someone a dork. She's the kind of person that its still shocking if she calls someone a bitch - because she only says it when she means it.

Anyway - I didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea about my mom. She's super cool.

If you got your sense of humor from your moms, then she rocks. As do you. Acorn don't fall far from the pine tree, or sumpin like that.

Let me just add that she can take a beer being spilled on her better than any hip-hop video hoochie. Word of advice. No matter how many Heinekens your soon to be father-in-law offers you at the annual x-mas party, know when to say when.

I love this post. Go Jen's Mom!

My mom totally told me to lose weight too! And she says, "Oh sugar" and doesn't swear unless she means it. Maybe a generational thing?

Did Chris just call my mom a video-hip-hop hoochie? Last time I checked my moms never went to a party in a bikini top and cut off shorts!

HA!

Oh my gosh, your momma is so cute! She is a sassy lady with cute words like, "oh sugar". My mom used to say, "putt putt" instead of fart, but she called the president a son of a bitch. Go figure.

PS From the pictures that I have seen of you on this site, you look like you could stand to gain a few pounds little lug lady...unless laying around while your back is healing has sparked a week-long bon bon bing.

Cute!! I like nice Moms and I love when people say "oh sugar" instead of shit. Fun stuff.

Your mom is cool !!! How would you like your mom to tell you before every gift she gives you, before you open it mind you, that it was very expensive and if you are not going to take care of it she will just take it right back. I love her dearly, but this line is getting a little worn

I only met her once. But that gut poking thing is damn... oops, I mean REALLY damn funny. I know now to keep it sucked in at the wedding.

My mom swears like a sailor but knows not to bring up the subject of tummy fat.I guess you take the good with the bad.

o.k. I can't be funny at the expense of my mom.Her usual "curse" phrase is God bless America said very forcefully.

Oh, my. I'm on a good day 121 lbs (5'6'') and I remember my mom telling me my butt looked big. Same sorta thing happened when my grandpa (may she rest) saw a picture of me in Italy and asked why I looked so fat. Why do relatives insist on being a little too honest sometimes? I can take it with a grain of salt, because I know I'm not big by any means, but imagine if I was on the verge of anoxeria or something? That would a Lifetime movie just waiting to happen. Mom's can be mom's I guess.
