1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?

I am no yarn snob, but I do try to avoid TLC and Red Heart. Other than that, I'm all over LionBrand and Bernat. I also like fancy natural yarns and some novelty yarns. I'm an equal opportunity yarn buyer.

2. Do you spin? Crochet?

Nope. I do cross stitch occasionaly and would like to learn to crochet.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)

I am allergic to cats and some dogs.

4. How long have you been knitting?

For about a year and a few months! I love it. As for skill level I can knit, purl, decrease, increase, and do lace knitting (though I'm not good at it yet). I can knit on circulars or dpn. I have not tried cables, fair isle, or intarsia.

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

Yes I do. There's a link under my "about" heading on the sidebar.

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)

I like vanilla and grapefruit, and other fruity scents.

7. Do you have a sweet tooth?

Somewhat. I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but I do like some candy like twizzlers and I like snacky cakes. I also like candied nuts.

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?

I do a little scrapbooking - but not much. I have been working on wedding stuff with my fiancee - like placecards, thank you's and invites. I do a little beading, and also some counted cross stich. I like to decorate christmas ornaments as well. I also like to bake and make cookies.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

Uh...I like bands like the Postal Service, Iron and Wine, Interpol, Wilco, Sleater Kinney, Spoon, Rilo Kiley, Badly Drawn Boy, Elliot Smith, Snow Patrol, Pavement, and many more. I'm open to basically everything but country.

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand?

I like all colors. I tend towards reds, blues, and purples. I'm not a huge fan of yellow.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

I am getting married in September - no kids - one pet spider.

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)

This is an odd question. I guess my life dream is to have a family someday and work at a job that I may actually like. Is that too general? Hmm.

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?

So far my favorite yarn I've knitted with is Cascade Superwash 220. I haven't really experimented that much. I guess I like cottons and cotton blends. I love merino too.

14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

I like the way mohair looks but it's a little difficult to knit with. I am not super fond of itchy wool.

15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?

I have a huge problem with buying knitting magazines! I love Rebecca and wish I had a star near me that carried it. I've also been making an awful lot of shrugs.

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

I like to knit mittens and shrugs. I make a lot of scarves. I've made 2 sweaters, but I'm not so good at checking my gauge so they turned out wonky.

17. What are you knitting right now?

I'm working on a basket weave scarf and a mohair wrap. I also would like to try a felted bag - I have a bunch of wool lying around. I have one un-felted clog waiting to be felted and one that needs to be started.

18. What do you think about ponchos?

I think they're cool. I haven't made one yet - but I'd like to! I can't decide on what yarn to start with. I think I prefer capelets.

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?

I like both...no preference.

20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?

Plastic or bamboo are my favs.

21. Are you a sock knitter?

No, but I've never tried, so there may be a hidden sock knitter inside of me.

22. How did you learn to knit?

My friend at my last job, Arlene, taught me at lunch! She said I was a "natural" and I was instantly addicted.

23. How old is your oldest UFO?

About a 6 months I think.

24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?

This is such a funny question. I think my favorite animated character is Brandon from "Home Movies" or maybe Cartman from Southpark? Um, I like the family guy too. I guess if we're talking disney or warnter brothers or something I like pepe le peu.

My favorite animal would have to be a monkey. My favorite bird - Rooster all the way.

25. What is your favorite holiday?

Thanksgiving! I love it! It falls on my birthday sometimes.

26. Is there anything that you collect?

Not really...SHOES!

27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?

Interweave and Vogue.

28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on?

I would love a book on fair isle (am I spelling that right?) knitting. I want to try a sweater with a fair isle yolk. I'd also like a mitten book or a felting book.
