Oh, Dorothy!
I had my first wedding dress fitting last night and it was great! So exciting to see myself in the dress. I decided against bringing a camera. We got there and my sister went first - trying on her dress. This little lady who reminded me of a younger Sofia from the Golden Girls came to measure her for alterations. This little lady was a riot - she grabbed my sister's chest and told her that her bra was too mushy! Humiliating for my sister, but hilarious for me. She went on and on poking and prodding and pinning and saying things like, "I'm a gonna need a TWO bottles of wine tonight!"

Then I tried my dress on and I have to say it fits almost perfectly! They just have to take it in a little at the bust and fix the bustle and other than that, it's perfect. Is it wrong that I looked at myself in it and thought "I am a beautiful princess." Really, I am uncontrollably girly when trying on my dress.
T-minus a few hours and Chris will be on his way to Baltimore for bachelor fun. I have no real bachelorette fun planned except for some shopping on Saturday and perhaps a girls night Saturday night. We'll see what happens.

Girl, I can't wait to see a picture of you in the dress! I bet you do look like a princess. Why don't you get sloppy-drunk and go shopping for your bachelorette fun? It'd be sublime.
