A Dirty Little Secret

The lack of interesting fodder for this blog continues. I'm willing to go to great lengths to have something interesting for you BigLugsters to read. So I thought I'd confess something to you. When I was a wee Pacific Islander growing up in central New Jersey I hated taking baths. I'm sure every kid hates taking a bath, right? I had really long hair that would tangle and I hated getting it wet and having someone brush it out and yank my head back. I hated getting soap in my eyes. I mean I felt clean, why did I need a bath? Well I eventually gave in and got into the habit of showering every day, and buying multiple bath products (can't trust a girl without some product!).

But I have a confession to make...

I still hate taking a shower.

Don't get me wrong - I do shower every day (maybe even two if I evercise at night), but it still feels like a waste of time to me. Shower time is time I could be knitting, or making some kind of list for something, or shopping, or reading Star Magazine, or reading your blogs - you get the idea. If those days come where I end up needing two showers a day for some reason, like taking one in the morning and then exercising and taking one at night - it kind of bugs me.

There, I said it. Don't worry, I smell really nice in person. Don't let it ruin your image of me.

How can you not like showers?
I do my best thinking in the shower. I have a theory it has something to do with being naked. It would explain why my thinking is of such poor quality at work. And, so the theory goes, it will continue to be that way until the company dress code is really, REALLY relaxed.

I went through a phase in my life like this. Now, I am addicted to bubble baths and hot showers. I have considered taking a bath and knitting, but am afraid that I will not be able to multi-task very well, so I stick with reading in the tub. I am sure you smell delightful! ;)

Definitely re-thinking asking if there was any shot of meeting up with you while on your trip out here.... ;)

I don't like brushing my teeth...I actually dread doing it each night and have sat in front of the t.v. much longer than I have wanted anticipating the extra two minutes of labor before bed...I totally get the shower thing too...I have said on numerous occations I would love it if you could hire someone to bathe and groom you while you slept so you could just get up ready...

Have you ever taken a shower after coming in from the rain?? I love that. Otherwise, hate taking the time to shower on the weekends, but I'm with you...sometimes take two as well. I'm sure you smell like Bath & Body Works!

If I'm not going anywhere that day, I see no reason to shower. I heart weekends of nothing.

Awww, poor little pigpen. His mamma just didn't teach him right.

I'm with Stacy. Brushing my teeth seems like the most frustrating waste of time ever. The two minutes it takes each time feels like an eternity.

You should get a swimming pool. That would totally count as a shower. And I am always interested in what's going on with the Big Lug!
