A Day Late - The Loot
So are you wondering what I bought at Rhinebeck? Yes I realize it was over a week ago, but sometimes I move at a snail's pace.
So there is the Brooksfarm.
Fourplay, 50% Wool 50% Silk. 270 yards. Colorway - Amber(?)

Primero, 100% Kid Mohair, 500 yards. Colorway - royal plush (?)

Blue Moon Fiber Arts:
Socks that Rock, Superwash Merino, 325 yards, Brick and Socks that Rock, Superwash Merino, 325 yards, Two Can Rock

Blue Ridge yarns, Handpainted Mohair Boucle, 540 Yards, Golden Harvest.

A woman I work with was kind enough to bring in her swift and ball winder for me. And this happened:

So exciting! Guess what, I ordered a swift and ballwinder last night. I'm hooked. I can't buy yarn fast enough to wind it and knit. Wacky.
I also started a multidirectional scarf with the Brooksfarm Fourplay. At first, the pattern perplexed me, but it seems to be working out now! Yay yarn!

So this was a good weekend. We celebrated our friend Mary's birthday at a new restaurant in town called Elements of Asia. It was pretty good. I had some yummy fancy scallion pancakes and a fancy tuna eel roll. Then we went home and vegged out.
Saturday I got up for my new favorite thing - Yoga class. I love this class. Every time I go I feel like I get better at it. I can't wait to go more! Saturday night we went to see the movie Serenity. If you never watched the show Firefly you probably didn't go see this movie. If you like action/sci fi/humor movies, I think you'd like it. I really enjoyed it. It's highly entertaining. I mean it's not earth shattering or anything, but if you're looking for an entertaining action flick - it'll do.
Sunday started out with the farm as usual. Then I spent the afternoon with my family and now here I am blogging and watching the Angelina Jolie E-True Hollywood Story - or ETHS for those who like to use acronyms like KFC and TGIF. Anyway - enjoy the fleeting hours of the weekend everyone!

Ooh, the scarf looks pretty...I watched VH1 Celebrity All-Access specials for like three hours yesterday. I couldn't stop!

TCCIC and FRANCE! Anyways, becareful with the Primero. I have two hanks of that stuff and it's hard to work with because teh mohair doesn't stretch. I orignally got it to make a Flower Basket Shawl and it didn't work out too well. Now I'm not sure what to do with it. So jealous of your Socks that Rock yarn! Looks like everyone who went to Rhinebeck got some. I want some now, too!

Your yarn porn just made me drool all over my desk. Yummy.
I am asking for a ball winder/swift for Christmas. May I ask what kind you got??
I found Serenity quite entertaining...I think it was in part to the copious amounts of white cheddar popcorn I was eating while watching. Still, I liked it.
