Multi Directional Done!

multiscarf.jpg

Pattern: MultiDirectional scarf
Yarn: Brooks Farm Fourplay in Autumn(?) Approx 270 yards

I really liked this pattern and yarn combo. The pattern is super easy to memorize and is really just garter stitch over and over with decreases and increases. It's a really good beginner scarf that looks more complicated than it is.

Here's what else I'm working on at the moment:

Fiery Bolero from Interweave Knits
Basketweave Scarf from Stitch and Bitch Nation
Two socks to match two finished socks that don't match each other

The bolero and socks are for me. The basketweave scarf has been on my needles for over a year, and might be a gift. I am torn about what to start next. I have enough yarn in my stash to make basically every scarf in my scarf styles book. I bought some laceweight yarn to perhaps make a "branching out" or "Flowerbasket Shawl" but I'm not sure. Should I make some more Christmas gifts? That didn't go too well last year. I don't think anyone liked anything I made them. Ahh the options.

Oh, and I ordered this and it says it shipped on the 24th, but still hasn't arrived at my doorstep.

Last night we picked out all the photos for our wedding album (whoa did you forget about the wedding yet?) and it was a long process, but I'm really happy with how it came out. The good news is that we finally got all the photos on CD from our photographer and we'll be able to make some kind of flash thingy now that you can click through to see hundreds of pictures of people you don't know!

Oh, and who else has a cold that won't go away? (My whole office raises their hands) I have become a devotee to Tylenol Sinus.

oh, and love the scarf. i really liked that colorway at rhinebeck ... i can't wait to start my four play project (i'm making the hourglass sweater), i'm so jealous of all these people i see working with it!

I just got my swift yesterday and have already used it twice! =) I hope yours comes soon. It's so fun! Anyways, I say (and this is coming from a reformed gift knitter), don't knit any Christmas gifts unless it's for yourself or will take less than 2-3 hours (read: a hat). =) But that's just me.. no one, except maybe my boyfriend, is getting knitted items for Christmas this year. It gave me too much undue stresss... aaaaack! Let's keep the holidays stress free, shall we? ;)

The scarf turned out great!
So sorry to hear about your perpetual cold. Gargle with warm rum...or just drink it.

Get rid of your cold: follow a shot of Nyquil with a shot of Gentleman Jack. Repeat. Go to bed. It DOES work.

The scarf turner out so pretty! I love the autumn-y colors.

That's really cool. Christmas is coming up and stuff but cough cough wink wink I'm not hinting or anything. Ahem. Cough. Brrr, do I feel a chill in here?

The scarf is awesome! Hey, if you can get out of the holiday knitting fever I'd definitely recommend it. Whe needs that kinda stress? Apparently I do as my gift list keeps growing.

i used a generic brand of dimetapp to knock out my cold. but i fear reinfection from sick coworkers.
that's such a great scarf pattern, and i like it in autumnal yarn.

Hey, cool scarf. I do have some Brooks Farm yarn. It's been bugging me. I think I'll make that. It really brings out the colors in the yarn. Very very nice, Jen.
