A Cure for Winter Woes and a Jaywalker Update

So according to Stacy,Edys Grand Light Peppermint Ice cream is the bomb. She's raved so much so that I had to go out and try it. What better cure could there be for winter woes?

And try it I did! I didn't want to buy the whole half gallon of ice cream, but that was the only size they had. It is soooo good, Stacy! You're right. And I've only eaten it twice so I don't think it's adding too much to my holiday eating binge.

It cheered me up and put me in the spirit so much that I made my first batch of Christmas cookies for this season:

Those are the kind made with a cookie press. Yummers. I am also going to make Russian Tea Cakes, Oatmeal Lace Cookies, and Potato Chip cookies. Oh I love it.

After eating my cookies I was inspired to knit on my Jaywalker. I am almost done the toe. Yay! I will finish this sock, then immediately cast on for the next one.

I worked a 13 hour day yesterday! Isn't that FUN? Do you see my excessive use of exclamation points!!! That's to counteract the bitterness! :) See I even am using smiley faces!!! :) :) :)

First of all, you're so damn cute!

And go you on the Jaywalker. I was going to start mine but Carole (knitizen) got mad at me since we're doing a KAL in January. Instead, I started socks for my boy.

Aren't you glad I shared alla that with you? lol

I have a cookie press that makes the exact same spritz cookies. Except this year it decided to bite the dust mid cookie making. What a bummer! I need a new one, but this time I want an electric one. None of this manual crap.

Ooo, maybe that Peppermint Ice Cream will be a good cure for me. And my Jaywalkers will be a good cure after the holidays are over.

Oh, I need some of that ice cream! yummy!
Lovin' that Jaywalker!

Sorry about the long day - hope you don't have to pull that one again...

I LOVE that Edy's Peppermint Ice Cream (but I don't think I got the lowfat variety)! I ate it over fudgy brownies with whipped cream and some chocolate sauce. Or with some Trader Joe's chocolate peppermint cake. Mmmmm! Enjoy!

Good Looooooord. The Rossana desert description sounds DELICIOUS. BigLug... Can we get some brownies up in this piece?

xxoo... Mr. Lug.

Edy should so give me a freezer full of the stuff for all my ranting and raving don't you think?
Do you know it is only 3.5 grams of fat for a half a cup? It is the best food ever made in my opinion...I got the egg nog light flavor too.
It isin't peppermint but it is pretty good.I put a dollup of fat free cool whip on top...I had some just tonight while making all the people in my family who don't care about getting fat Martha stewarts peppermint bark fudge and cookies and creme fudge...I hate them for being able to eat it but that is a different story:)
Your cookies look so good and I think I would die for a potato chip cookie right now...
Oh,thank you so much for the card...You have perect handwriting...isin't that odd in my mind I could tell that about you...
I also need to say you have a cooler husband than me for reading your blog.
How can Greg not be interested in the inner workings of his witty wife?I just don't get it...anyways,good for you for taking an active role in Jen's blog Chris:)

The Jaywalkers look great. Glad they are no longer the bane of your existance.
And hello, that hot dog in yesterdays posts is hilarious.
PS I heard on the radio that people actually only gain one pound for the holiday season and that the 10 pound thing is a myth. Translation. Eat whatever you want. You'll only gain one pound.

How cute are you in that pic? I love peppermint ice cream....now I know what to get for dinner, uh, I mean, dessert, tonight.

Your socks look FABULOUS. I am not currently speaking to my Jaywalkers, we had a bit of a falling out. As in, the needles fell out of them and they were frogged.

I feel your work pain. Ugh. Will it ever end?

Peppermint ice cream is da BOMB. I'm partial to Brigham's version, myself.
