The Only Gift Knitting I Did
Not to play favorites, but two of my NON-KNITTING bloggy friends got a gift from me. A post-Christmas knitted gift! I made them flower pins from the Hand Knit Holidays book Chris got me for my birthday!
Here is Jen wearing my flower pin! Check out her blog.
I also knit Stacy a flower and she wrote me an awesome thank-you poem! And she also promised to put up a pic soon.
Knitting for these non-knitting bloggy friends is the most satisfying knit-gifting experience ever! It's good to give something to someone who really appreciates your work. Not like those unappreciative babies who just drool all over that hand knit sweater! Just kidding. I like baby knitting, too.
So now, a part of my knitting lives in MN. My yarn gets more vacation time than I do!

Giving something hand-made is always so touching to those that receive and those that give. I made multiple scarves this year and got so excited each time someone got ready to open their bag. I think people appreciate that you spent time making something just for them. I know I do whenever I receive something hand-made. Makes me all giddy.

So pretty. What yarn did you use?
You are brave knitting for adult non-knitters. I'm always afraid they think I've knit them a scarf in 15 minutes or something.

i love that pattern -- i started making one, but i was confused about the construction. it looks like the purl side is supposed to show, right? what yarn is it?
and it's sweet that your recipients were so appreciative. not always the case ..

You should know that your flower will be going all the way to the Dominican Republic with me on my $1 woven purse.
