Asketh and Ye Shall Recieveth - Or Something Like That

Heeeerrrreee's TUBEY...

See it's still kind of a mass of black stockinette. I tried on the sleeves before picking up stitches for the body and they're a little wide, but do-able. I am doing a size smaller for the body after seeing how loose the sleves came out. The knitpicks andean silk is really nice to work with. I like it a lot. I got my extra skeins of pitch and the skeins of cranberry that I ordered in the mail yesterday.

I am now contemplating how to do the stripe. I am reall torn and need your help. I could do some cranberry stripes across the chest, kind of like the pattern is written. Or I could knit in black until I start to run out and then knit stripes across the bottom of the sweater. I'm torn. HELP!

Here is a close up of the sleeves.

There's Tubey. Well on its way to becoming a real sweater.

Did you all see Gilmore Girls last night? So good. I love it. I won't spoil it if you Tivoed it or something - but its good. I think I may have a special liking for this show partially because it has an asian character. Oh, and how many TV shows do a total homage to an obscure documentary about the Brian Jonestown Massacre and then have one of the band members in a recurring role? And who isn't happy that Sebastian Bach found a way to revive his career?

Well, I have an example of boob-stripes in my Tubey (just posted on the blog). However, I'm contemplating ripping back and moving the bottom variegated/gray stripe down to the very bottom, to make a little border.
I did a few short rows in the top variegated stripe, too, to make it fit (with the side effect of accentuating that area even more!).

i think the stripes are most flattering maybe right under the chest, at the slimmest part of your torso. i like the idea of black and cranberry.

ooh, that yarn looks super pretty. That sweater is going to be awesome on you! I think stripes across the chest or right below.

I'm with the Carries...strips just below the chest to make boob look bigger, waist look smaller.

I agree with the stripey plan laid out by the Carrie's and agreed with by Anne Marie. Cranberry and black together are going to look awesome on you.

Gilmore Girls last night....ahhhhhhhhhh! So. Good. Brian tries to act like he doesn't like it, but last night I came downstairs to find him curled up on the couch with the dog, avidly watching.

Love GG, but this season still isn't my favorite. Who is from the BJMassacre?? I don't know them all that way. I love Sebastian in this role. It's so cute. And I love Lane, but I hate that there is no Lane/Rory storyline at all anymore. And why was there no Lorelai-Luke story last night????

I like Tubey. And I like the suggested plan. It's going to be awesome.

You know that cranberry stripes on the boobal area would enhance that, just keep in mind. I think on the edges would be better. Just my 2c.

I agree with everyone else... don't wanna add the stripe at the end to emphasize the hip area. yikes!

Gonna look super cute! Can't wait to see it...
