Project Tubey

Oh the Project Runway Finale. If you didn't see it, I'm about to ruin it for you...

Did you see it?

Did you?

Well I know everyone is a fan of Daniel V, but I have to say that I always loved Chloe! Is it an Asian bias? Maybe. Which is funny, because technically I am not asian, but I'm always pulling for the Asian girl on tv shows. Maybe because growing up I would desperately cling to any image in mass media that was remotely Asian and not offensive. Oh how few and far between they were. I can't even think of the first Asian person I saw on TV. Margaret Cho in All American Girl? That girl from Waynes World? At least the Asian/Pacific Islander girls growing up today have Chloe Dao - and maybe Lucy Liu? I'll stick with Margaret Cho. Who is actually Korean. Anyway, I digress.

That is me trying on Tubey a few rows ago. The sleeves are awesome. The body is a little too big. I can't tell at this point, but I'm just knitting away. I do like the way the stripes are coming out.

Gahhh! I'm just so glad it wasn't Santino - though I thought some of his gowns were gorgeous!

you know, i liked chloe all along but i thought her collection was awful - so eighties, so shiny. there were maybe three pieces that i liked. i wasn't wild about any of the collections, but i thought daniel's was probably the best as a collection.

tubey looks great! i love the neckline.

I loved Daniel too but was happy with Chloe winning. I mean, from the first challenge you knew she was one of the most talented designers!

I love the stripes too! And the colors look great. You;ve knit so much on it...it'll be finished soon!

Looking good so far. I've really liked each one I've seen, but I can't see myself knitting it for some reason. Perhaps it's that I like to continuously knit crap that I will never wear/fit/finish. Hmmm, perhaps my counselor should assess my knitting...

The stripes look so awesome! I love how you did them... super cute!

I was glad that Chloe won also though I was surprised how much I liked Santino's collection. He is an ass but I thought they sorta pushed him to the bottom quickly during the last show.

I LOVE Tubey!

I had to wait days to read this since I had to tape the finale. I didn't love any of the three collections, but I was disappointed in Chloe's -- it wasn't the sleek, clean, gorgeous line I expected to see, but the judges did point out her creative and flattering seaming, which I can see. And you do know she can design for a woman, which is awesome.

Go Chloe!
