This is almost too boring to publish

I just wanted to post something - anything - because I haven't been posting lately.

Hello blogosphere - I am stuck in my house and my office doing work.

I am not complaining because I love this house so far. (Okay, so maybe I'm complaining a little.) My routine lately is I go to work early and come home late, then I cook dinner or try to do something to the house. We are making progress - a wall exists where none did before, and some wallpaper has been taken down. Each night I try to do something crafty - like work on my cross stitch or knit a little or - if i'm too tired I've been reading. I am looking forward to a time in this house when my couch will be where it belongs, when I can stop wiping the dirt off the walls from the lady that lived here before us (very nice lady, but obviously a dirtball), and when I will actually sleep in the master bedroom. Ah - that should all come together sometime around 2008. I have enjoyed discovering that Mr. Lug is obsessed with a short lawn. I think he's mowed the grass 3 times in 2 weeks. I think this is a good thing and that soon, you will be able to practice putting in our back yard.

I've also been spending time looking forward to Kate and Alex's wedding which I will be leaving for in a week! Kate and I will be getting some body polishing action at a spa in Taos. I have never been to a spa. I want to win the lottery and have money to start going to the spa on a regular basis where they will put hot stones on my back and polish me up like a shiny nickel.

Amen, Lug! Every woman deserves to be polished like a shiny nickel!

Sounds like you're having a challenging time with your new home! It'll look great when you're done - keep thinking about that end product.

Can Mr. Lug please come train my man on the lawn-mowing thing?

Sounds like you are chipping away at the house stuff, bit by bit. It'll be done before you know it.

Mr. Lug has been in training for the lawnmower olympics since he was big enough to see over the handles of our lawnmower and reach the pedals on the riding lawnmower. He will make you proud with his mad lawncutting skills. You know chicks dig guys with skills.

Dude. Mr. Lug's mowing habit is fabulous. And also, I wanna hear all about the body polishing. That sounds fun. and also a little scary.

A "lurker" posting here!
Love your blog, and the lawn mowing...definitely a guy thing when they finally get a lawn. My hubby started that almost immediately upon our move to our new house, and it hasn't stopped since. And...we've been here for 3 years!

I must say, however, that we do have one of the nicest lawns on the block. :)

Looking forward to more house/knitting escapades!
