Omphalophobia

I have an announcement to make people.

I can see the back fo my belly button.

The days are close. Soon, perhaps within a month or so, the moment I fear will come to fruition.

My belly button will pop out.

AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!

I know I have bigger fish to fry when it comes to things I should be afraid of, such as actually giving birth, but the belly button thing kind of freaks me out. And as my belly gets bigger my belly button is indeed getting shallower and smaller, just aching to break through the surface and emerge triumphant...as an outie. Gah!

Speaking of change...yay for the Democratic majority. We voted out evil Rick Santorum! And we also voted in a democratic congressman in our district. Woot! Woot! And that's all the politics I'll talk on this blog.

So back to the baby lug and new developments. I can't stop eating right now. I'm 19 weeks and I can't stop eating. In particular microwave pancakes, popcorn, and unfortunately candy. I'm going to be 900 pounds when this sucker comes out. I think my feet got bigger. I can never remember whether or not I took my prenatal vitamin. I need to nap once a day, which is difficult when I'm at work - so I skip the nap and go to bed early every night instead. Oh and I can't stand eggs right now which resulted in me taking the egg off of my bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll and just having a bacon and cheese on a roll. I am now in love with bacon and cheese on a roll. I'm going to give birth to a diner.

The belly button would scare me too. Bacon and cheese on a roll sounds mahvelous. Seriously.

Either that, or you're going to give birth to my baby. Same cravings, same aversions. Heh.
Oh, and the bigger-feet thing is normal.

That's cute . . . my mom gained 70 pounds when she had me. She normally weights about 115 and lost it all right afterward. She loves to eat and was given a great excuse!

The belly button thing kind of grosses me out...I imagine I won't be able to look at myself when I am pregnant. Hee hee.

I'm sending you a LITTLE something in the mail in a couple of days :)

Having no experience with motherhood myself, this is kind fun! :)

I gained about 45 lbs with each kid. My belly button had never been the same! Sorry....

OMG. This is hilarious, because just a few nights ago I realized I could see the back of my belly button too! And I was in the bathroom looking at it in the middle of the night and woke up John when I gasped, "oh no!"

What a funny belly button!

I have a hard time remembering when/if I take my daily multivitamin, but one contraption that helps is a plastic thingy that holds pills for the week...with each section labeled for a different day. If you fill it weekly, you can just check that day's "bin" to see if you've taken the vitamin. Just an idea. =)

Mmmm...breakfast sandwiches...mmmm!
