I have had a rather strange day today.
I stayed home this morning to wait for the cable guy to come and set up our HD cable for our new fancy TV. After he installed the cable, I went to leave for work and as i was pulling out of my driveway I noticed a cute white doggie wandering around our yard. So I stopped my car in the middle of my street, got out and had a conversation with the doggie, during which I learned he had no tags on his collar. So I decided to move my car back into my driveway and figure out how to help the doggie. When I started my car he charged it, I opened my door and he jumped in. I had a new friend!
Long story short (too late!) I ended up walking around a little with this cute doggie until I found out that a neighbor knew who he was (Lucky is his name and he lives 4 houses down from me) and took him from me so that she could watch him while I went to work. Oh Lucky, I thought fate brought us together, but alas, we weren't meant to be.
I thought I'd also note that I'm joining the "Knit from Your Stash" bonanza. I have enough stash to knit from that's for sure, however I do have one yarn gift certificate I'm allowing myself to spend, as well as any money for baby knits, but other than that - all from the stash.
And here's an update on the sweater for baby lug. One back and two sleeves done! I realized after I started knitting that I have to put a zipper in this sweater. Egads. I'll have to look that up...
Hopefully my theory that gauge doesn't matter with baby items will hold true, as right now it looks like I'd have to have one really long skinny baby to fit in this sweater!
