Log Cabining and More

Oh where did I go for 2 weeks? Well the baby got me really. When I'm not working I'm sleeping. When I'm now working or sleeping we're working on the house.

Here's some things we've been up to (you know I love lists):

  • Registering for baby things They tell you that babies are expensive - that they need so much stuff. Well "they're" right. This baby is registered for two different strollers, two different types of car seats, and a myriad of other things and I've been told there are more things that I'll need that aren't even on there! SIlly baby lug. You are all invited to purchase things for the baby off of my registry. Just kidding. No really, I need some stuff. Just kidding! But seriously...do you want him sleeping in a drawer?
  • We celebrated Chris's brother's 40th birthday The guitar hero was played, food was eaten.
  • I completed one log cabin square I started this one off with a bang, certain that my log cabin blanket dreams would drive me to knit, knit, knit, day and night. I kind of lost steam after this first square though I am enjoying both the pattern and the yarn. The yarn is Elann Sonata in 5 shades. I don't really have a plan for how this blanket will be laid out, but I'm going to randomly log cabin squares in the same shades with a solid border until I run out of yarn.

  • I'm 32 weeks along Bring on the inexplicable growing of my feet, my gravity defying belly, random bouts of narcalepsy, and the beginning of the dreaded search for daycare. Did you know you have to figure out who your pediatrician will be and what daycare you'll use before you even give birth? Who knew?

You look so beautiful! So funny random thing about childbirth - after you have the baby - you lose all the tightness in your belly, and it's extremly squishy. You still look preggo for a few days after - but you can take your hand and hide it in the midst of all the belly flab :) It's pretty funny actually. AND you can see your feet almost immediatly after having the baby! :)It's the little things...

You are adorable. You may not be feeling adorable right now, but trust me, you are. Glad all is well, I was getting worried about you. (I worry, its what I do.)
