I Fought the Snot and the Snot Won

One of the great joys of having a child? Germs. I got hit HARD with the snot bug from Baby Lug. It was a knock-down, drag-out war between the snot and me, but then I pulled out my secret weapon, my plasma sword if you will (if you get that reference, we can be friends) of antibiotics and I've now won. Well, I'm winning the war, let's say.

But I actually have knitting to post! A few weeks ago I bound off Lady Eleanor. I started her in August of 2006 (ugh) and just finished her in December. She was a labor of love. It's a really great and easy pattern, good for memorizing and mindless TV knitting. She's knit in Noro Silk Garden. I have to figure out how many skeins I used. The only thing left to do is weave in the ends and figure out whether I'll do the fringe or chunky tassels.

I love it...and man I love the look of entrelac. I need to give it another shot. Maybe a little time off from it will have given me the break I needed to wrap my head around it.
