Drive By Posting

We are taking part in our local CSA Organic Farm again this year. We took a year off when we had the baby and here we are back again, except this time we got a delivered box share that we pick up near our house. This works out well for us since we probably would have a hard time getting the baby to tolerate the trips to pick.

If there's a CSA in your area, I'd recommend trying it. We end up with all kinds of organic veggies that we'd never normally buy, but end up eating. Of course, this leads to some confusion when I don't know what the heck to make with what we have. Fennel? Yeah...Not so sure what to do with it!

Also related to the heat...I feel like I just posted about the baby's first haircut, but he's quite a sweaty little guy, so the heat of the summer required another trip to the barber. Here's his "after" photo.

Don't mind my huge bib

And on a random note...Project Runway is back on. I love Project Runway, but I'm totally not ready for a new season yet. I didn't tune into the premier. I'm still hanging on to last season I guess...Oh Christian...

Who? Meme?

I could go on about why I haven't been posting, and about how life is busy, blah blah. But life is always busy and you're busy, and you blog, so what excuse do I really have? Instead I'll do this meme I saw over at Mayarn.

1) What was I doing 10 years ago?

July, 1998. The summer after Sophmore year of college. Instead of going back home to live for the summer I moved into an apartment with my then-boyfriend. The apartment was a third of a house, and there was a lawnmower repair shop in the back. All of our furniture came from our parents and stuff we salvaged around. I must have been working, but I can't remember what job I had. I was 20, and living on my own in an apartment for the first time. Funny story about that apartment is that one day we found a rabbit in our drop-down ceiling. It turned out it escaped from our upstairs neighbor and got stuck in the ceiling. He was fine, and we got him out by offering him a carrot.

2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today?

1. Take Simon to 15-month check up

2. Type up notes from work meeting

3. Schedule appointment to use spa gift card

4. Knit on never ending afghan

5. Catch up on blogs

3) Snacks I enjoy:

Cheez-its, Chips of any kind, string cheese, popcorn

4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire (in no particular order):

Set up a giant compound for our families to live in, or buy them their own houses. Make sure that Simon never had to go to daycare. Have more babies. Knit, read, garden, travel all the time. Help others in some way.

5) Places I have lived:

All over NJ as far south as Wenonah and as far north as Trenton. Yardley, PA

6) Jobs I have had

Cashier in a hardware store, Victoria's Secret employee, Mall Deli worker, CVS cashier, PA at a tv station, internet producer, producer at exhibit company, project manager, barnes and noble employee (my favorite i think)
